I think I found a discrepancy in Linux (and maybe Mac) folder path:
Default profile location according to this article:
Win: %APPDATA%\Thunderbird\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\
Linux: ~/.thunderbird/xxxxxxxx.default/
Mac: ~/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/xxxxxxxx.default/
So to go to a folder containing Thunderbird folder from the Thunderbird profile folder you should:
Win: go up three levels
Linux: go up two levels
Mac: go up three levels
But this article says:
Win: go up three levels
Linux: go up three levels
Mac: go up two levels

Hi Jiří,
I'll test it on a Linux machine, when I can.
Regarding macOS, the number is different due to the way Finder works. Here's a screencast of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6z_MNupUmM
Hi Chris,
I use Kubuntu and Xubuntu and must go two levels up. The path is
~/.thunderbird/xxxxxxxx.default/
Alright, thank you for the screencast, I've never used macOS.
