Restore of gmail account fails

    I have used thunderbird for many years now with the latest version on my desktop.windows 10 64 bit. Mainly with gmail accounts but also another one. Had to change the passwords of two gmails, something went wrong and i decided to delete these accounts.Also the smtp. Adding these again as new accounts does not work, indication name, password or setting problem, looks to be server problem but i cannot see that anything is wrong, the others account work well and adding the same account on a new dowloaded version of thunderbird on my laptop went without any problems. Can old imap settings be the reason , if yes what to do, if not any other solutions? Thanks for your support
